Dental Crowns

A Dental Crown is an artificial restoration made of porcelain or porcelain bonded to metal. The Crown completely covers a weakened tooth and with good dental hygiene and care will last for many years.

Dental Crowns are applied when teeth become weakened by decay, a lost filling or as a result of a tooth fracture. Crowns are often used for cosmetic dentistry also.

The existing tooth is prepared by your dentist to receive the new crown, an impression is taken and the impression is used by a dental technician to make the crown which is then cemented onto the tooth by your dentist.
